Pretty in pink

Thank goodness we have this little girl to keep us smiling!
She loves the tutu she got for her birthday - she wears it with everything! She was having a good time digging with her shovel and then tossing the dirt at Bodhi.

Seattle

I had a great time in Seattle. While I was missing Matt, Maisy and Bodhi it was so nice to spend some time with my mom, aunt, "uncle" and mostly Beth. I hadn't seen her in a year! We did all of the fun "touristy" things. Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square etc. My Aunt Michele and Uncle Daryl threw a party for my cousin Jake and his new wife Lara at the Space Needle. It was a lot of fun, music, good food and dancing. The night before the party the family ate dinner at Ivar's, which was excellent! Thank you Michele and Daryl for some fun times! I am so glad I got to go on this trip. I have a wonderful husband and family to help me take this little vacation!

More birthday pictures

Here are some pictures of Maisy enjoying some of her birthday presents. The top pic is Maisy playing with the fashion magnets Stacie and Jess got for her. She creates an outfit and then says "oh, it's so cute." The next picture is of her new tutu which she decided would look cute with the Cons while playing with her basketball and golf club. The 1 on the couch is after she opened her gift from my Dad and Vicki. Then she took Tiger for a ride on her tricycle while supporting the Denver Broncos. The bottom photo is Maisy holding up the picture she drew for Momo for her birthday.

Maisys birthday

We had a great time in SLC for Maisy's birthday. I, unfortunately, forgot my camera. Fortunately, Haleigh took pictures and put them on her blog. So go over to the right side of our blog and click on Michel family. If you scroll down a little ways Haleigh has a post labeled Maisy's birthday. She did have a pretty good fall the day before her birthday so her right eye is swollen and looks a little funny. We made her a princess cake. We draw that princess many times a day, so I thought she would like it. Maisy was also loved on by her cousins and given many many pink things! She is a very happy girl!

Hair

The other day I was wondering what it would be like to "do" Maisy's hair. Seeing how I didn't really have the opportunity until fairly recently when she started to get some, I feel I have missed out on a lot of practice. Now that she has hair and I technically could "do" it I have discovered, and I will be the first to admit, that I do not possess enough control or patience for this to happen. So, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc. I would like to give a blanket apology for the fact that this is as close as I got to a ponytail and probably the most "done" her hair will be. I am open to suggestions, tips, tricks and/or just acceptance for the beautifully wild hair on my child's head.
At least she is brushing her teeth!

Drawing

We got so excited when we saw this picture! Maisy drew her first princess! She may not be the most beautiful princess to most people, but we think she is lovely! Maisy drew everything but the triangle, which I believe she thought was a crown. We are proud parents!

Tiger

Maisy loves her Tiger and she decided they should have a sleepover so she took blankets and pillows from her room and set up little beds. I was surprised to find them "napping" in the hallway!
I can't find the picture but she wrapped up Tiger and put her in the pantry for a nap. I guess she thought Tiger would be snuggly buggly next to the pasta?
